What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Dallas North Tollway in Dallas, TX on November 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:48 a.m. According to investigators, a Lexus ES operated by 45-year-old Kamilu Asalu hydroplaned into a concrete barrier while headed southbound on the tollway. It also struck a Honda Pilot in a left lane from a previous crash that was unoccupied. Asalu suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Additional information was not available.
