What Happened

Area authorities are investing a crash that injured a person at Fisher Rd in Longview, TX on April 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:47 a.m. Investigators say the a commercial truck operated by a 31-year-old Hallsville man was headed southbound as a train ahead approached at a railroad crossing. Police say the truck attempted a u-turn at a private driveway, colliding with a Ford Escape in the process. The 66-year-old woman operating the Ford, identified as Karen Brandt, suffered serious injuries in the collision.  The other driver was not injured, according to police. Additional information was not immediately available.
