What Happened

Two people were injured following a single-vehicle crash at State Hwy 199 in Azle, TX on February 12th, 2023. Officers have said the crash happened around 1:25 a.m. Investigators believe a Ford F-250 operated by 34-year-old Casey Barnard was headed eastbound before losing control. The truck slid into another lane and into a concrete barrier, which caused it to overturn. Two passengers, identified as 27-year-old Derek Miller and 23-year-old Kasidy Little, were both seriously injured. Barnard was evaluated for possible injuries and authorities recommended a charge of Intoxication Assault.
