What Happened

A young woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash at FM 528 and Canal Dr in Friendswood, TX on December 18th, 2022. Police say 25-year-old Kayleigh O'Neal died in the 3:35 a.m. crash. According to investigators, O'Neal was operating a Toyota Avalon going westbound on Parkwood Ave. The vehicle was traveling through a construction zone and hit several cones before traveling through two construction barriers. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn and catch fire, causing O'Neal fatal injuries. Authorities did not disclose additional information.
