What Happened

Fort Worth Police arrested a driver in connection with a fatal crash at Stalcup Rd in Fort Worth, TX on August 28th, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 2 a.m. Investigators say a vehicle occupied by 21-year-old Kevin Martinez Nunez was stopped waiting to make a turn onto a detour due to an accident ahead. While stopped, the vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by 39-year-old Darron Phillips. Martinez Nunez was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Phillips was arrested on September 8th and faces an intoxication manslaughter charge.
