What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 290 in Travis County, TX on November 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:33 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Scion operated by 21-year-old Kevin Sarat was headed eastbound on US 290 when it traveled across a divider barrier and through a median onto a service road. While attempting to return to the road, the vehicle collided with a Hyundai Accent operated by a 30-year-old Austin man. The Austin man and his passenger were uninjured in the collision. A passenger in the Toyota, 22-year-old Wilson Jocol, was seriously injured. Sarat suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Additional information was not immediately available.
