What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured everyone involved at State Hwy 66 in Garland, TX on September 4th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 9:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Cadillac Escalade operated by 33-year-old Daniel Alexander Gambrell was headed westbound on Hwy 66. A Volkswagen Golf operated by 22-year-old Kiara Denisse Nichols was headed northbound on Centerville. At the time, the traffic signals at the intersection were not working, according to police. After previously coming to a stop, the Escalade traveled into the intersection both vehicles collided. Nichols was seriously injured while a child passenger had less serious injuries. Gambrell also suffered minor injuries, as did his three passengers. Authorities did not have additional information to share.
