What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 105 in Grimes County, TX on March 1st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1 p.m. According to investigators, an 18-wheeler headed eastbound on highway 105. At the same time, a Chevrolet Malibu operated by 50-year-old Kimberly Fridel, was headed southbound. Investigators allege the Chevrolet missed a stop sign and collided with the rear of the 18-wheeler. Fridel suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The other driver was not injured.
