Police say the incident happened around 6:10 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer is alleged to have failed to control its speed on icy roads leaving to it colliding with a second truck and Lexus while attempting evasive action. The operator of the Lexus,, identified as 43-year-old Lashonda Whitehurst, suffered serious injuries in the collision. Her 3 passengers were also injured. The truck driver involved was not injured.
