What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 49 in Marion County, TX on November 3rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:50 a.m. Investigators believe a tractor-trailer operated by a 32-year-old Pittsburg, TX man was turning onto State Hwy 49 from Shady Grove Rd to head westbound. Officials say the truck failed to yield at the stop intersection before it was struck by an approaching Ford Focus operated by 50-year-old Latoya Miller Ross. Miller Ross suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The Pittsburg man was not injured and cited for Failure to Yield Row at Stop Intersection.
