What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at H Ave in Temple, TX on September 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:32 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Kicks operated by 66-year-old Leota Lynn Herrington was headed westbound on West Ave H. A Ford F-150 operated by an unnamed 42-year-old Belton man was traveling eastbound. Police say as the Nissan was turning left on an unprotected green light, it allegedly failed to yield and collided with the Ford. Herrington was seriously injured in the collision, according to police. A 73-year-old passenger is believed to have suffered less serious injuries. The Belton man and his passengers were unharmed.
