What Happened

Police have information on a crash that killed a pedestrian at Pershing Blvd in Bastrop County, TX on July 29th, 2023. Officials believe it happened around 10:34 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 2500 is believed to have been headed eastbound before leaving the roadway. As it did so, it struck a pedestrian walking eastbound in or near the roadway at the time. The collision left the pedestrian, 37-year-old Lisa Bradford, with fatal injuries. Police allege their operator of the Dodge, a 61-year-old Bastrop man who was not publicly identified, was intoxicated at the time of the collision. The driver was, according to officials, placed under arrest for Intoxication Manslaughter. Additional information was not available.
