What Happened

Police in the area are working to gather more information in a crash that killed a driver at Sam Houston Pkwy in Harris County, TX on February 11th, 2023. Officials say it involved a Nissan Altima that was allegedly traveling at a high rate of a speed around 4:30 a.m. The vehicle lost control under unclear circumstances before meeting from the road and crashing into several trees. The collision caused the driver, Luis Alpizar, to be ejected from the vehicle. Alpizar was taken to an area hospital with injuries he was pronounced dead from. Authorities had no additional information to disclosed at this time.
