What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials identified the two people killed in a crash at FM 439 in Bell County, TX on September 25th, 2023. Officials say it happened around 4:15 a.m. and left 30-year-old Macayla Meshell Bartek and 46-year-old Lance Scott Jerome Walker with fatal injuries. Investigators say both were the drivers of two different vehicles that collided head-on under unclear circumstances. It was suggested by officials one of the vehicles ma have crossed into an opposite lane of travel. Additional information was not available.
