What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed one person at I-40 and FM 1912 in Amarillo, TX on March 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:20 a.m. According to investigators, a tow-truck towing three semi-trucks and pickup truck were involved in a collision with a rental truck. A cause for the collision was not yet known, however, police say one person involved was killed. Police later identified the driver as 20-year-old Madison Mangum. Another person involved was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
