What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials released information related to a crash that killed a pair of siblings on US 190 near Hearne, TX on December 1st, 2019. Officials say the incident happened around 6 p.m. A vehicle driven by 19-year-old Wesley Sanders was reportedly rear-ended by a car riven by 19-year-old Connor Lowen. Their vehicle was then pushed into oncoming traffic where it collided with another vehicle driven by 25-year-old Douglas Leighton. Sanders and his sister, 22-year-old Maegan Sanders, both died in the crash. Leighton was hospitalized with serious injuries. Lowen was not injured.
