Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-2 in Weslaco, TX on March 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:31 a.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 25-year-old Candler, NC man was headed eastbound on an on-ramp as an unnamed 20-year-old Weslaco man was walking in the eastbound shoulder. The vehicle is said to have first attempted to change lanes before the Weslaco man allegedly entered into a travel lane. The truck struck the man, who suffered serious injuries.
