What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at River Rd and Pecanway Dr in Wichita County, TX on August 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:54 p.m. According to authorities, a Toyota 4Runner operated by a 40-year-old Wichita Falls man was headed southeast on Pecanway Dr approaching the intersection with River Rod. A Ford Taurus operated by a 23-year-old Henrietta man was headed southwest approaching the same intersection. The Toyota is accused of failing to yield at the intersection, colliding with the Ford. The Henrietta man is said to have been seriously injured while the Toyota operator was unharmed. Responding officers allege suspicion the Toyota operator may have been under the influence and was arrested on recommended Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Yield charges.
