What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a pedestrian accident that killed a man at East Fwy and Lockwood Dr in Houston, TX on March 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:45 a.m. According to investigators, an unnamed male pedestrian was waking in or near a travel lane of the freeway. That individual was struck by a Mack truck headed westbound before they were also struck by a Dodge Challenger. The man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Both vehicles involved remained at the scene. Authorities say both drivers were determined to not have been impaired and were released. Additional information was not available.
