What Happened

Houston Police are looking into a crash that killed a pedestrian at I-10 and Wayside Dr in Houston, TX on December 30th, 2022. Officers are saying it happened around 2 a.m. and involved an on-duty officer heading to a non-emergency call. The vehicle was in the westbound lanes of I-10 and while traveling, struck on object in the road. Upon stopping and exiting the vehicle, the officer found the body of a deceased male that had been previously crossing the eastbound lanes. Officers say the patrol vehicle appears to be the only vehicle involved.
