What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at La Homa Rd in Hidalgo County, TX on May 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Expedition operated by a 52-year-old Edinburg was traveling southbound on La Homa Rd before allegedly traveling onto the vehicle collided with a northbound Chevrolet Silverado after allegedly traveling onto the wrong side of the in a no passing zone capacity. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 55-year-old Maria Contador, suffered serious injuries in the collision. Additional information has not been made available.
