What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least one person at State Hwy 45 in Harris County, TX on October 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep SUV is alleged to have failed to control its speed before colliding with the rear of a Chevrolet Equinox, pushing that vehicle into a Ford F-Series operated by 70-year-old Arturo Cubos. Police say a passenger in the Ford, identified as 70-year-old Maria Cubos, was seriously injured, as was a second 11-year-old passenger. The driver of the Jeep, who was not publicly identified, had possible injuries, police say. Reports indicate charges for Disregarding Traffic Control Device, Failure to Control Speed and Following Too Closely were recommend and/or issued against the driver of the Jeep.
