What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 21 in Bastrop County, TX on September 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:59 a.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 62-year-old Cedar Creek man was headed westbound on State Hwy 21 ahead of a Chevrolet K1500 operated by 52-year-old Maria Rodriguez Medina. The truck was reportedly halfway in the shoulder due to a vehicle ahead and as the Chevrolet attempted to pass, it entered onto a center strip and collided with the truck before overturning. Medina was seriously injured while a passenger the other driver were not injured. Additional information was not available.
