What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-45 in Conroe, TX on March 1st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:44 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Yukon operated by a 39-year-old Conroe man was northbound, allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed prior to running a red light. Police say the vehicle struck an eastbound Chevrolet Suburban, seriously injuring a 17-year-old passenger. The driver, identified as 46-year-old Maria Santana Aguilar, was less seriously injured. The other driver was evaluated for possible injuries and officers recommend a DWI charge.
