What Happened

A pedestrian was killed in a crash at State Hwy 249 in Harris County, TX in December 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:14 p.m. According to investigators, Mateo Choe was walking in or near lanes of travel before he was struck by a vehicle. Police say he was also struck by a second vehicle before there was time for Choe or the other vehicle to react. Choe was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from the following day.
