What Happened

Area authorities have identified the person killed in a two-vehicle crash at FM 466 in Seguin, TX on August 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:35 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado headed southbound on FM 466 is allegedly to have failed to stop at a posted stop sign. Officials say the vehicle collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox at the intersection with FM 477. The collision left 21-year-old Equinox occupant, Mayra Noemi Guevara, with fatal injuries. A 5-year-old child in the same vehicle was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries, as well as 45-year-old passenger, Dora Guevara. The driver of the Silverado, identified as 26-year-old Ryan Aviles, was arrested on an intoxication manslaughter charge as well as two counts of intoxication assault, according to officials.
