What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at FM 2090 in Montgomery County, TX on July 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:05 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Compass operated by a 46-year-old McKinney woman was westbound on FM 2090, approaching a pedestrian that was in or near the roadway. Officials say the vehicle allegedly attempted to avoid striking the pedestrian, 26-year-old Michael Ash, before a collision between the two occurred. Ash was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from. The McKinney woman was uninjured, reports say. Additional information was not available.
