What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 78 in Kirby, TX on October 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:27 p.m. Investigators are saying a Toyota Corolla operate day 65-year-old Robert Walker was headed eastbound on FM 78 before attempting to turn left into a gas station. It is believed that the turn was performed when unsafe to do so, colliding with a westbound Toyota 4Runner operated by 53-year-old Michelle Burnett. Burnett suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision while Walker was evaluated for possible injuries. Officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge against Walker.
