What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials released details related to the semi-truck accident that killed one person and injured another on I-35 in Bruceville-Eddy, TX on January 9th, 2019. Officials say the accident was caused when a semi-truck carrying avocados driven by Sidney Whitehead collided with a dump truck parked in a median. Whitehead was seriously injured in the crash. Michelle Whithead who was asleep in the sleeper portion of the truck was killed. Another man was taken to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
