What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Lamar Blvd in Austin, TX on February 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:41 a.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Corolla was headed northbound before allegedly running a red light and colliding with a motorcycle operated by 33-year-old Patrick King. Following the collision, the vehicle allegedly fled the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle, identified as 30-year-old Nicholas Demeco, suffered serious injuries. King was evaluated for possible injuries. The other driver, identified as Mayor Guerra, was later located and questioned by authorities. Additional information was not available.
