What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials released the names of the people killed in a crash on Hwy 277 in Anson, TX on January 1st, 2019. 39-year-old Nickie Ray Mitchell and 50-year-old Kerry Louis Simmons were both killed when their vehicles collided head-on. Police say the accident occured around 2 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway.
