What Happened

Austin Police Department officials are investigating an early morning accident on SH 71 in Austin, TX on December 30th, 2018. Officials say the accident was caused when a truck driven by 37-year-old Prospero Campos-Baladez lost control and drove into a grassy median. Both Campos-Baladez and his passenger were thrown from the vehicle. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Campos-Baladez faces an intoxication manslaughter charge.
