What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at FM 1960 in Harris County, TX on September 19th, 2021. Officials say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Investigators believe a passenger vehicle operated by Gerardo Escalera Jr reportedly failed to yield at an intersection to an eastbound tow truck. The vehicles collided and two passengers in Escalera's vehicle, identified as Patricia Ross and Chelsea Gayton, suffered fatal injuries. Escalera was seriously injured. Police say Ross and Gayton were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Further information was not available.
