What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 183 in Lampasas County, TX on March 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Lincoln MKT operated by 71-year-old Ramon Spencer was headed northbound. Headed southbound was a Toyota Highlander operated by a 27-year-old Lubbock woman. At some point, police say the Lincoln veered into a no pass zone and across a double yellow line before colliding with the Toyota. This caused a nearby commercial vehicle to collided with the Toyota. Police say that vehicle did not remain at the accident scene. The Lubbock woman is believed to have suffered minor injuries while Spencer was more seriously injured.
