What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at  I-45 in Houston, TX on August 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:15 a.m. According to investigators, a GMC Yukon was headed northbound prior to veering from the road for unknown reasons and colliding with a guardrail. A female passenger, identified as 42-year-old Rebecca Jimenez, was taken to an area hospital with injuries she died from on September 4th. The driver of the vehicle fled prior to police arrival. Additional information was not immediately available.
