What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 2767 in Smith County, TX on December 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Soul operated by 22-year-old Rhiannon Smith was headed westbound on FM 2767 when it veered from the road at a curve. While attempting to correct back onto the road, it hit a mailbox and overturned several times before landing in an embankment. It hit a culvert before coming to a stop, ejecting Smith from the vehicle and causing serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
