What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a teen at Raguet St in Lufkin, TX on March 31st, 2020. Officials say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. 16-year-old Joel Escoto was behing the wheel of a vehicle that lost control, veered from the road and overturned into a hurricane fence. Part of the fence went through the vehicle and impaled Escoto's passenger in the arm, 17-year-old Ricardo Viezca Ramirez. Ramirez was hospitalized in critical condition.
