What Happened

Area authorities have details related to a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 71 in Austin, TX on May 26th, 2022. Officers are saying the crash happened around 8:37 p.m. Investigators believe a Hyundai Elantra operated by 33-year-old Rebecca Perry was headed westbound on the service road for Ben White Blvd as a Ford F-250 ahead came to a stop. It was alleged that the Ford’s taillights were non-functioning, which may have contributed to the Hyundai colliding with the rear of a trailer towed by the Ford. The driver of the Hyundai, an unnamed 61-year-old male, and a passenger, 53-year-old Robert Clifton, are both believed to have suffered serious injuries. Perry was evaluated for possible injuries.
