What Happened

Authorities with the Texas Department of Public Safety have information on a collision that injured a driver at State Hwy 36S in New Braunfels, TX on December 10th, 2022. Officers believe the accident happened around 8:14 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Civic operated by 67-year-old Rosalinda McCumba was turning left onto State Hwy 46 S as a tractor-trailer allegedly ran a red light. Officers allege the truck was seen running the light by multiple witnesses at the scene. The truck collided with the Honda causing it to jack knife and overturn, colliding with two other stopped vehicles. McCumba was seriously injured in the crash. One other driver involved had minor injuries. The truck driver was not injured. Additional details were not provided.
