What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at Loop 410 in San Antonio, TX on November 19th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 11:53 p.m. According to police, a Toyota Rav4 operated by an unnamed 31-year-old Elmendorf man was allegedly headed eastbound on Loop 410. At the same time, 25-year-old Ruben Griego Jr was traveling on-foot in or near a lane of travel. At some point, the vehicle struck Griego before allegedly leaving the scene without stopping to render aid. Griego was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers later located the Elmendorf man and issued a Failure to Stop and Render Aid charge. Additional information was not available.
