What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-20 in Blue Flat Rd in Palo Pinto, TX on August 11th, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 3:55 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 66-year-old El Paso man was headed westbound on I-20 prior to being struck by a Chevrolet Camaro operated by a 20-year-old Clarskville, TN man. Officers allege the Camaro failed to control its speed prior to the collision and lost control after impact, going into a ditch and overturning. A passenger in the Camaro, identified as 23-year-old Sara Stokes, suffered serious injuries. Both drivers were said to have been uninjured.
