What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 2222 in Austin, TX on July 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:43 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Civic operated by 22-year-old Aubrie Engelmann was allegedly headed eastbound int he westbound lanes before eventually colliding head-on with a Ford Escape operated by 22-year-old Sarah Barkhuizen. Sources indicate Barkhuizen had non-life-threatening injuries while Engelmann was allegedly more seriously injured. Additional information was not confirmed.
