Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Hwy 377 in Roanoke, TX on October 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:16 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 18-year-old Seth McCastlain was southbound on US Hwy 377. Officials say the police attempted to perform a traffic stop on the motorcycle for an alleged traffic violation before the motorcycle allegedly suddenly accelerated. From there, police say the motorcycle collided with the rear of a second vehicle, throwing McCastlain from the vehicle. Reports say the incident left McCastlain with fatal injuries.
