What Happened

Two vehicles were involved in a collision that left both drivers injured at US 82 in Fannin County, TX on February 16th, 2023. Officers say it happened around 5:45 p.m. Investigators are saying a Nissan pickup truck operated by 34-year-old Bradley Heslet was allegedly going eastbound in a westbound lane at the time. They further allege the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before colliding with a westbound Hyundai Sonata operated by 45-year-old Shawn Schofield. Officers say the injuries Schofield suffered are believed to have been non-life-threatening while Heslet was more seriously injured. Additional information was not yet available.
