Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at County Rd 215 in Grimes County, TX on October 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:41 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 42-year-old Shawn Smith, was northbound on County Rd 215 at the time. The vehicle is said to have possibly been traveling at an unsafe speed prior to veering from the roadway into brush ahead. Officials say Smith, who was found at the scene after several hours passed, was hospitalized for treatment of serious injuries. There were no other reported injuries.
