What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at US 190 in McCulloch County, TX on February 25th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Santa Fe operated by a 37-year-old Katy man was headed westbound on US 190 before veering out of its lane into a borrow ditch. While attempting to correct back onto the road, the vehicle veered across the west and eastbound lanes before colliding with a Chevrolet Impala parked in a side shoulder. Officers say the Impala had a flat tire and one of its occupants was attempting to change the tire before the impact. The collision caused the Impala to strike the individual outside of the vehicle leaving both that person and an occupant of the vehicle injured. Police named the victims as 56-year-old Stephenie Traylor and 64-year-old Wilbert Traylor. The other driver was uninjured. Additional details were not available.
