What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 16 in Gillespie County, TX on September 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:31 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-350  is said to have been approaching a parked tow truck on the side of a double-yellow center line. The vehicle is alleged to have failed to reduce its speed before traveling between the parked truck and a northbound Ford F-250, striking both vehicles. The drivers door of the parked tow truck struck 63-year-old Steven Wayne Kaderli, standing near the parked vehicle. Police say Kaderli suffered serious injuries while the others involved were not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
