What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-35W in Fort Worth, TX on August 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord operated by 35-year-old Britney Hammond was headed northbound when it lost control for unclear reasons. It then hit a barrier wall before overcorrecting and collided with a second barrier wall. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 28-year-old Tataunna Hunter, suffered serious injuries. Hammond was also seriously injured, according to police. Authorities recommended an Intoxication Assault charge.
