Police say the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Renegade operated by an 18-year-old Kirbyville teen was eastbound on FM 1005 before traveling into a ditch. From there, reports say the vehicle traveled eastbound, striking a mailbox and culvert before going airborne. The vehicle landed and overturned into a ditch, the teen suffering serious injuries. Reports say the teen was hospitalized for treatment and had no additional information available.
