What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a teen at County Rd 135 in Wharton County, TX on September 10th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:32 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C1500 traveling northbound is said to have left the roadway for unclear reasons before traveling into a bar ditch. From there, while attempting to re-enter the roadway the vehicle went into a skid. The vehicle is said to have traveled into a guardrail and second ditch, ejecting the driver from the vehicle. The driver, a 17-year-old Boling, TX resident, was killed. Additional information was not immediately available.
